Psalm 46
1 For the director of
music. Of the Sons of Korah. According to alamoth. A song. God is our
refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will
not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the
heart of the sea, 3 though its waters
roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah Lord, I
thank You for You alone are my refuge and strength. Thank
You Lord for Your promise to
be ‘my present help in trouble!’ Whatever happens to me or
around me, Lord, let me not fear or be shaken up in my faith. Help me
to keep trusting in You. I
believe You will take care of me. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help
her at break of day. 6 Nations are in
uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. 7 The LORD Almighty is
with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah Lord, when I am with You, I will
be safe and You will make me glad. There is no
other God like You who is Almighty in power. I
trust in You. 8 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations
he has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he
breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire. 10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted
among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." 11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is
our fortress. Selah Lord, help me to be quiet and
patient and wait on You. Help me, O Holy Spirit
to Know the Lord alone is God. He is above all
the earth, rule over nations and peoples. Thank You for the assurance
that You are with me. Help me to experience that
You are my refuge at all times and in all situations. Matthew 6 25 "Therefore I tell
you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about
your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food,
and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds
of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet
your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than
they? 27 Who of you by
worrying can add a single hour to his life ? 28 "And why do you
worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not
labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that
not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God
clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is
thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little
faith? 31 So do not worry,
saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall
we wear?' 32
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father
knows that you need them. 33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things
will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do
not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each
day has enough trouble of its own. Lord, help me not to worry about
anything in life, however pressing or important. Lord Jesus, You have
said, “Do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall
we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all
these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them”. But Lord, I cannot put away my worry.
My situation causes me to keep worrying about it. So, You please remove it or do something about it,
as I have already committed it to You. Thank You
for letting me know that God my Father know not only my needs but also
my problems and He will take care of them. Thank You, Lord. Help me to seek You first and
Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Help me to
make it my priority above all else. For You have
promised that all these things – ‘the things I need in
life’- will be given to me, by my Father God. Philippians
4
6 Do not
be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the
peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. O, Lord, help me tell
You about all my anxieties and stop worrying. Let
me remind myself of all that You have done for me and praise and thank
You for them, as I wait for You to help me. Lord, let
Your peace come into my heart and take away all my anxieties. 1
Peter 5
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares
for you. Lord, I thank You for teaching me
to cast (throw) my anxiety on You. I thank You for
the promise that when I do that, You will care
for me. Amen.
