Romans 7

21 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

22 For in my inner being I delight in God's law;

23 but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.

24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?

25 Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Dear Lord I thank You for forgiving me and saving me from my sin. Lord remove my sinful nature too. I thank You that through Jesus Christ You can give me victory.

Jeremiah 1

17 "Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.

18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land--against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land.

19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

Dear Lord, I thank You for You have made me strong and You are with me and You will rescue me.

Jeremiah 15

20 I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you," declares the LORD.

21 "I will save you from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the cruel."

Thank You Lord for Your promise to be with me and rescue me from my trouble and trials and foes too.

Psalm 116

1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.

2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.

3 The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.

4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: "O LORD, save me!"

5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

6 The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.

7 Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

8 For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,

9 that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

10 I believed; therefore I said, "I am greatly afflicted."

12 How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me?

13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.

14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.

16 O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant ; you have freed me from my chains.

17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.

18 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,

19 in the courts of the house of the LORD-- in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

Dear Lord, I love You, for You have heard my voice; You have heard my cry for mercy. Because You turned to me, I will call on You as long as I live. The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. Then I called on Your name: "O LORD, save me!"

O! LORD, You are gracious and righteous; You are a God full of compassion. You protect the simple-hearted; when I was in great need, You saved me. My soul will be at rest once more, for the LORD has been good to me. You, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living. I thank You Lord and trust in You alone.

Mark 9

"I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"

Dear Lord, I trust in You. But when troubles and trials come, my faith fails and doubts arise. Especially, O! Lord, when I am sorely tried and there is no answer from You or help when I cry out, I am puzzled. But help my unbelief and enable me to keep on praying and not faint.

Romans 12

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Lord, I am always tempted to react quickly and return evil for evil. But You have taught me to love even my enemies and pray for them and do good to them. But the natural human instinct in me is too strong and I need the help of Your Spirit to obey and overcome the evil and do good at all times even to those who do evil to me.

John 16

33 Jesus said, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Dear Lord, I am puzzled when people preach and teach that Jesus will solve all my problems if I simply trust in Him. They say everything will be all right and God will give me health, wealth and prosperity if only I trust in Him.

Lord, but what You said is that “in this world I will have trouble”. How true it is! But I thank You for Your encouragement and promise, “But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Revelation 3

21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Dear Lord, help me to overcome all temptations and trial by Your presence and power and sit with You on Your throne as You have promised.

Revelation 17

14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings--and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

Dear Lord, I thank You for You have chosen me and called me to follow You. Only help me to be faithful in my following You closely, come what may!

Romans 8

31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

36 As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear Lord, grant me the sure conviction that NOTHING in all the world will ever be able to separate me from Your Love to me, though my love may fail! Father God, Your love for me was so great that You gave Your only Son Jesus for me to die for my sins. I am persuaded that You will not withhold anything that is good for me. Thank You Lord.

Revelation 12

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!

Dear God, I am weak and sinful. Often I am overcome by self, sin, the world and Satan. Thank You for Your love from which nothing or no one can separate me. I thank You for You have overcome all and You can help me overcome too! I can be an overcomer through Your blood and Your Word. Amen.
