GOD WILL HELP YOU THROUGH!

Matthew 6

5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.

8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

9 "This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us today our daily bread.

12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'

14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Dear Lord, I thank You for encouraging me to keep praying by Your teaching, promises to answer and example. You have even taught me how and what to pray. Help me to take time to pray, no matter how busy I may be. Make me forgive others for whatever they have done to me, because You said,’ only then will God the Father forgive my sins’.

Matthew 7

7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Thank You Lord, for giving me Your promise, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” You have encouraged me to keep asking the Father, by telling how even our earthly fathers give good gifts to their children and how much more will the Heavenly Father will give. Help me to come to my Father God for my every need, simply trusting on Your promises.

Matthew 14

23 After Jesus had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.

Dear Lord, I thank You for teaching me by Your example that I too must take regular time to pray to the Father.

Mark 1

35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

36 Simon and his companions went to look for him,

37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!"

Dear Lord, even when You were very busy teaching and helping the needy and healing the sick people following You, Yow still made time to pray. Help me not to be too busy with work or people that I have no time to pray to the Father. If praying to the Father was so important to You, the Son, how much more it should be to me? Help me O! Holy Spirit. Teach me how to pray and make me pray. Thank You Holy Spirit for You help me when I do not know how to pray and You even pray through me, according to God’s will!

Mark 6

46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.

47 When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land.

48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night he went out to them, walking on the lake.

O! Lord, You prayed early in the morning, in the evening and at night and all nights too! How then, could I not find time to pray? Forgive my sin of laziness and prayerlessness in my life. May Your Spirit constrain and compel me not only to pray but pray often, even when I am not inclined to pray.

Luke 6

12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.

13 When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles.

Dear Lord, if You had to pray all night before choosing Your disciples, instead of doing it Yourself, how much more I should be praying before I do things small and great! Let me learn from You, O! Lord, the importance and imperativeness of prayer. If You needed to pray,, I cannot live without it.

Luke 9

28 About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.

29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.

30 Two men, Moses and Elijah,

31 appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.

Dear Lord, when You went up the lonely mountain and prayed, You were transformed and glory surrounded You. Prophets and angels appeared and ministered to You. The Father acknowledged You and said, You are His beloved Son. He ordered from heaven the disciples to listen to You! Help me to come apart and pray to You and may You respond to my humble prayers.

Luke 11

1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."

2 He said to them, "When you pray, say: "'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.

3 Give us each day our daily bread.

4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.'"

Thank You Lord, for teaching me to pray and how to pray the way that is acceptable to the Father.

Luke 11

5 Then Jesus said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,

6 because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.'

7 "Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.'

8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

Luke 11

9 Jesus said, "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

11 "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?

12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?

13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Luke 18

1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

2 He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men.

3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'

4 "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men,

5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'"

6 And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says.

7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?

8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

Dear Lord, You want me to pray. You want me not to give up praying when the answers do not come immediately and I have to wait long! You have encouraged me to pray by telling many examples. Help me to pray not only to get things from You but to obey You and please You.

Luke 18

9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable:

10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector.

12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'

13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'

14 "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

O! Lord, make me humble before You in my prayer. There is nothing I can boast about. I am a sinner. All my deeds are unrighteous in Your sight. You alone are holy. Hear me Lord and answer me in Your mercy.

Luke 22

39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him.

40 On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation."

41 He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed,

42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.

44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

45 When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.

46 "Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation."

Dear Lord, You taught me to keep praying that I may not fall into temptation. To my folly and failure, in spite of the many temptations, I neglect to pray. Only help from You through my prayer can deliver me from temptations and sin. Make me pray, I pray Lord!

John 15

7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

John 16

Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

John 17

1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.

O! Lord, how many promises You have given me to answer my prayers. Help me to claim them and keep praying and keep receiving Your answers.

Romans 8

26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

Dear Lord, I thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit. I thank You for He helps me in my weakness and inadequacy in prayer. He even prays and intercedes for me and through me according to the will of God. I open myself to You, Holy Spirit. Come and help me to pray.

1 Thessalonians 5

17 Pray continually

Dear Lord, O! That YourSpirit may constrain me to keep praying always.

Jude

20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.

Dear Lord, You have taught me by Your Word and encouraged me by Your example to keep on praying always for all things. Help me to pray by the help of the Holy Spirit and in the Holy Spirit. I thank You Lord for Your many and specific promises to answer my prayer.

1 John 5

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

15 And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.

Thank You, Dear Lord, for the confidence You give me that when and whatever I ask in accordance to God’s will He will give it to me.
