Matthew 11

28 Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

O! Lord Jesus, I thank You for your loving and gracious call to me who is weary and tired. My burdens are heavy and my work tiring. I come to You. Help me, Lord. Take away the heaviness of my heart and grant me peace. Lighten my work and give me rest. Refresh my soul as I sit in Your presence and before Your Word daily. Thank You.

Psalm 90

1 A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.

2 Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

3 You turn men back to dust, saying, "Return to dust, O sons of men."

4 For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.

5 You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass of the morning--

6 though in the morning it springs up new, by evening it is dry and withered.

7 We are consumed by your anger and terrified by your indignation.

8 You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

9 All our days pass away under your wrath; we finish our years with a moan.

10 The length of our days is seventy years-- or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

11 Who knows the power of your anger? For your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you.

12 Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

13 Relent, O LORD! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants.

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.

16 May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children.

17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us-- yes, establish the work of our hands.

Dear God, I have made You my refuge and in Your presence I rest. Apart from You there is no rest, peace or security. Only You can provide me these and so I come to You. My life is worthless and my labour vain, unless I learn to do it with Your wisdom and strength and to please You. Teach me that I may apply Your wisdom and order my ways aright.

O! Lord, have compassion on your servant. Satisfy me each morning with your unfailing love, that I may sing for joy and be glad all my days. Make me glad for as many days as you have afflicted me, for as many years as I have seen trouble. May your deeds be shown to Your servant, Your splendor to my children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon me and us; establish the work of my hands -- yes, establish the work of my hands.

1 Corinthians 15

58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Dear God, help me to do my daily work diligently to please You more than satisfying my superiors or getting a good income. Let me do it to help others and benefit them. Let nothing or no one disturb me or stop me from doing Your will. Help me to live and work so that I will be a witness to You and Your goodness to all. I thank You for You have said that if I so do my work it will not be in vain but You will reward me richly.

Galatians 6

9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

O! Lord, let me do the work You have given me with all diligence, as serving You. Let me never get weary of doing it and bring good to everyone. Thank You for the opportunity to work and do Your will. Grant me the wisdom, strength and the ability to fulfill Your plans and purposes for me.
